The additional features not only benefit you but benefits Google. Along with Facebook this company is also complicit with the current government ideologies. But that frivolous stuff aside I'm still not convinced that a better camera that watches your every movement is a good thing this one's going in the bedroom your kitchen your lounge room and it's periodically watching you without you asking for it to do so the jury is out on this one I have the original version my bedroom I wouldn't mind better quality sound and we also need Netflix Amazon video..

I hate to break it to you guys but everything listen and sees you. This is unfortunately the world we live in so if you don't like it please throw away all you tech you have in your home, your cell phone and oh yeah that smart car you drive too. If you don't have anything to hide then it is what it is

How would you compare the speaker quality of this in comparison to a standard Google Home?
The Nest Hub (non-Max) has audio quality comparable to a Google Home Mini. Would you say this is as good as a regular Google Home? Better or worse?

Love my Home Hubs, have them in both of my offices. They are plenty loud enough and the displays are just the right size for being on a desk and the lack of a camera is a plus, not a minus in my opinion.

So…I pay money to have Google spy on me?

    That’s a Hard NO.

Google is rotten, rotten, rotten to the core.

I have the original Nest Hub, and One of the things I like about it is exactly not having a camera. Not buying a Max anytime soon.

I was all set to buy this as soon as it came out until i saw your review. The deal breaker for me was access to my music, which is on Apple and Amazon. Thanks

They should have separate controls for turning off the camera and the microphone. I would keep the camera off, but I would like the capability to interact with commands through the microphone.

Oh well, a piece of tape will suffice, I suppose.

I almost headed to Best buy this morning to pick one up as soon as they open, but I've decided to wait until Black Friday. Nice video by the way, thank you.

Amazon worst tho lol. They have humans always listening and you cant delete commands stored, Spooky. Apple's not a competitor.
At-least Google give you options to delete stored information and when you delete it, its gone forever.
