As someone who hasn't bought a switch yet. Hopefully this will be somewhat cheaper than the main switch. I prefer handheld with Pokemon games anyways and most of my game library will probably consist of pokemon and Zelda if Pokemon sword and shield turn out being better when they come out. :/

My only opinion with this Switch and even the original is one day the battery will die and Nintendo will not replace it. A whole console that will be dead. I assume with the regular switch you can dock it but that's it. Reason I still play and love my Gameboy color and advance is regular batteries. Even the DS/3ds at least you can pop open the battery compartment yourself. Although it's very hard these days to find genuine Nintendo DS batteries that don't sell for high dollar. I may sound crazy but hey I still play and know others that pop in the NES, SNES etc. from time to time. I don't think the Switch will be doing that down the road. A lot of money to Nintendo with no future proof

Flop idea.. this is a downgrade. Nintendo needed something more powerful, not a lesser system.

People asking who would buy this if the current switch is already better. The answer is the same as those that asked who would buy a 2ds if the 3ds is better. It’s cheaper.

Since most of the games are running poorly on handled mode, i dont see the point.

So it’s not even compatible with all games like the Wii Mini, Game boy Micro and 2DS…

At this point this device is useless what this system is offering I’m already getting it from my Nintendo switch 😳 besides I love my switch and the fact that I can connect to any tv and detach my joy cons …. I have a switch both my kids have their own switches I’ve invested thousands of dollars with accessories and games so I will not be buying one of these now if Nintendo wanted to give me one of these devices I’d be more then happy to try it out but as it stands I’m happy with my switch

Does this mean we will get a switch i, 3Dswitch, 2Dswitch, 3Dswitch XL, 2D switch XL, new 3Dswitch, and new 3DSWITCH XL?

why is it weird seeing a new switch even though the DS had so many versions?

100 dollars less.. I would have at least made it 64gb to make up for the less features. They need a Pro version with 128gb bigger screen and 1080p standard just make it cost 349.99 simple.
