Huawei MateX comes with a crease even if you buy it new and it costs $700 more (It folds outwards which is easier to design). Can't trust Huawei products to be good as Samsung or Apple.

I will probably skip the first generation of foldables, til the price drops and they iron out all the kinks.

2 grand for a cell phone that can unfold to the size of an Ipad mini. The world has become mad. If anyone still needed proof.

first tablets die, and now we want phones to fold out to become tablets? is this a gymic destined to die on arrival. Why not just by an old $100 tablet and tether it to my phone in my pocket. That way I use bluetooth devices for everything I need a phone for and enjoy an 8 " tablet for everything else.

As soon as I saw Huawei's foldable phone I knew one reason why they folded it with the screen on the outside. The fold is not as acute, and therefore helps in avoiding a sharp crease over time. So much for people telling me samsung's fold will not be a problem after a few months. Plus, Samsung knew this was a problem months ago but just didn't say anything. If they give you several screen replacements over the life of the phone, well I guess then I wouldn't see it as a problem.

Does the port-less phone have a microphone? How does it make phone calls?

The crease on your foldable phone is preventable by using fabric softener between each wash. Fabric conditioner leaves your foldable phone soft and smelling great!
