You can still buy a brand new DeLorean, straight from the factory

The original DeLorean factory in Northern Ireland may be long gone but you can still buy a factory fresh example of the most iconic gull-winged doored car of all time. XCAR went to Houston to find out more.

If it had a proper v6 or a good v8, it could've been a great tourer.

Who actully wants one of thes. There so slow. The time it takes to get to 60mph the car would depreciate by age. The only top out at like 110 mph sure you can tune it but there also just so ugly.

If you can reproduce the molds and bucks for the body then this would be a great platform for a big slab of battery and four gnarly hub motors.

Great to see that this iconic car is not as “rare” as I thought.

It still has 80s cheesiness written all over it, from the under powered engine to the 85 mph speedometer, to the 4 lug wheels, from a time when cars had no power.

I'll tell you what I think of it, last year, after I get to 88 miles per hour.

I was born in the 90s so I didn't grow up to Back to the Future, so growing up I was always wondering what the hell was in that DMC shop on the other side of the freeway. But later on, finding out about everything, watching the movies, I thought it was so cool passing by it everyday on the way home.

I rather buy this than any other super car.
Reason, if I'm going to imagine speeding in supercar, i rather imagine I'm time travelling. And not working of body rust is a +. 😁

That's a Liverpool accent? That doesn't sound scouse at all to me. It sounds more Sheffied or Yorkshire or something. These British types should have to have their accents certified. They do it with their meats & cheeses and such. Of course if they ever DO leave the E.U. I guess that would get 'em off that hook.

Why the hell would anyone want to buy this for 85k-100k with the original engine? That engine was a major piece of shit.
